Michael Gabriel: “The Happy Chef” -- Hello, my name is Michael Gabriel, personal chef, operating under the moniker of “The Happy Chef.” Please allow me to briefly tell you about myself and my business. I am a distinguished, award-winning Las Vegas chef, available for hire for your private occasions. Whether you need me to cook for a single event, such as preparing a cake or special gourmet dinner -- or wish to hire my services for several days or weeks and do everything from shopping to cooking -- I can custom tailor a package to accommodate you. I offer single-event service, on-going weekly dinner service, complete weekly meal cooking and planning, full shopping service, and special event planning. My love of cooking developed early when I was a child helping in the family-owned and operated bakery business in Manila. After living briefly in San Diego, I moved to Las Vegas to attend the College of Southern Nevada (CSN), ranked as having one of the best Culinary Arts programs in the world. I have worked at Hotel San Remo Resort and Casino, Aramark Catering and Food Services, and most recently for Thomas Keller’s Bouchon French Bistro and Bakery at The Venetian Resort and Casino. In 2008, I began working full time as a personal chef and started my own business called “The Happy Chef.” I am a member of the American Culinary Federation (ACF), affiliated with the World Association of Chef Society (WACS), and a certified member of the American Personal and Private Chef Association (APPCA).
